All services are provided through a HIPAA compliant video conferencing platform. Due to licensing restrictions, services are only available to individuals located in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Please note that currently, we are mostly telehealth but in-person appointments are available in a limited capacity and to abide with the DEA regulations.
Limitations of Telemedicine:
Certain psychiatric symptoms and conditions require a higher level of care than can be provided through virtual means. If at any point it is determined that you can no longer be safely treated via telemedicine, Sierra Soul Psychiatric and Wellness will provide referrals to a higher level of care.
*Note that the Ryan Haight Act (federal law) which prohibits the prescription of controlled substances such as stimulants, benzodiazepines etc. via telemedicine has been temporarily put on hold due to the pandemic emergency, however, it may be reinforced in future and SSPW will then comply accordingly*
ABOUT REGINA
Regina Macharia is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She believes in individualized client care that is holistic and is vested in promoting self-care, and lifestyle changes (sleep hygiene, exercise, nutrition, stress management) in concert with a variety of psychotherapy and pharmacological modalities.
